I've always had a keen interest in all things science and how it impacts society.

Science is dear to my heart. It’s one of the best tools we have for advancing human progress and lowering the amount of unnecessary suffering in the world. It’s my aim to promote its beauty and utility to as many people as possible.

I’m a senior nuclear chemist at the National Nuclear Laboratory at Sellafield, Cumbria. I’m also a freelance speaker, writer, and broadcaster (TV and radio).

I am also a published author: my debut popular science book, Meteorite, is available to buy now.

I completed a PhD in Cosmochemistry from the University of Bristol in 2019. I have a First Class (with Hons) undergraduate degree in Geology with Planetary Science (MEarthSci), and I interned with NASA at the Johnson Space Center, Texas.

When I'm not in the lab, I’m normally reading, writing, or running/hiking in the Lake District fells.
